Hard vs. Soft.

95% of the time I love mixing things together that contrast. Mixing something hard that has an edge with something that softens it up. Often times, if you're not careful things can go wrong but if done correctly, it takes your outfit to the next level. Wearing to much of one thing can be overkill and not adding pieces to your wardrobe that are fun and interesting can leave your wardrobe feeling drab. Finding the happy medium and learning how things work together is important.

Contrasting pieces doesn't just apply for your wardrobe, it also works when decorating your home as well. I believe your clothes should make you feel great and they are something to be excited about. The same goes for your home. It's a place you should feel happy in! Most of your life is spent in clothes (I feel there could be a good joke here) and inside of your home. Feeling great in them only makes sense!

This outfit was something I just grabbed and changed into. I didn't put a whole lot of time into picking out the pieces and it ended up just working. Bonus! I love it when that happens!

I added a flowy tank with thin straps and lace detailing on the front with some ripped and patched high waisted jeans and a gold sandal with a small wedge.
